Living Faith Church Worldwide Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Living Faith Church Worldwide (aka Winners Chapel) is marking its 40th anniversary this month. The church was established with a vision its president, Bishop David Oyedepo received from God on May 1, 1981.

In the eighteen-hour supernatural encounter, Oyedepo said God spoke to him saying, ‘’Now the hour has come to liberate the world from all oppressions of the devil, through the preaching of the Word of faith; and I am sending you to undertake this task.’’

The headquarters of the church is situated at Canaanland, Km 10, Idiroko road, Ota, Ogun State with a 50,000 sitting capacity auditorium called Faith Tabernacle. It is pertinent to note that a new church building which is planned to be the new headquarters is already under construction. It is called The Ark with an expected 100,000 sitting capacity.

Bishop David Oyedepo has proven to be a man of vision in his service to God. His commitment to God is unwavering. Consequently, the establishment of the church has led to other projects of the church being commissioned.

The church owns primary, secondary, and tertiary educational institutions in various parts of the country. Presently, Covenant University stands as one of the best private university in Nigeria. Also, Kingdom Heritage and Faith Academy are top-notch schools.

Likewise, their four children - David Jr., Isaac, Joys, and Love - have been vibrant in God’s service.
