The founder of Christ Mercy Land in Warri, Delta State, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, has opened an Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp for flood victims where he offers the occupants three square meals, medical treatment and clothing. He has also offered them N5 million.

The victims went through a medical treatment due to exposure to flood water which can cause cholera.

In a video, the preacher said the church would ensure that it reduces the sufferings of the people. The registered beneficiaries numbered at over 5,000 which included children and nursing mothers.

According to Fufeyin, the flood victims are from five states, Delta, Anambra, Kogi, Rivers and Bayelsa. He added that his aim for helping the people is because of the promise he made to God that humanity would be his priority if God blesses him. Hence, helping the flood victims was part of his promise to God.

He said, “Coming to their rescue is not by my power, it is the power of God.” He added that the Jeremiah Omoto Fufeyin Foundation is the sponsor of the project.

About two weeks ago, the preacher helped to rescue flood victims in some states. The people of Ayakoromo community in Burutu Council Area of Delta State were among the beneficiaries as the preacher and his team were there to provide support to them.

Fufeyin said that the church would cater for the needs of the people till they are able to get back on their feet again.
