U.S. televangelist, Kenneth Copeland, is making alternative moves to avoid the consequences of not taking COVID-19 vaccine. The preacher has asked his supporters for money so that he can buy a private jet. This will enable him to travel freely as there are planned travel restrictions on individuals who have not been vaccinated.
According to the cleric, the vaccine is the mark of the beast as recorded in the book of Revelation. Hence, the 84-year-old is not interested in taking it. He also advised travelling ministries to look for alternatives other than commercial airlines. Copeland is the head of Kenneth Copeland Ministries.
During the “VICTORYthon” fundraiser, he said, “You get into this situation, ‘We’re not going to let you fly unless you’re vaccinated.’ Well, to me, that’s the mark of the beast. Not the vaccination. I’m not taking the vaccination, but you can do what you wanna do.”
According to reports, Copeland and his wife, Gloria, own three private jets and a private airport. Their preaching are usually centered around prosperity. Previously, they have asked their supporters to donate for their private jets.
This would not be the first time Copeland will speak against COVID-19. In June 2020, he asked Christians to activate their faith and put their angel to work to fight against the deadly disease. He added that he has faith in God and it is enough to protect him against the virus.
During that period, Copeland said, “I’m talking now to Holy Spirit born-again, Holy Spirit baptized, Holy Spirit speaking in other tongues, healing, believing Christians that don’t watch anything but COVID-19 on the television. Your faith is idle and dumb.''
Besides, he urged people not to watch news about the pandemic. Rather, they should dwell on building their faith which will help them not to be vulnerable to the virus.
“Your angel has nothing to do because all you’re listening to is the news broadcast, and you’re exalting this creep that you have authority over. I have my shield up, thank you very much. Glory to God! You couldn’t give me that flu even if you tried,” he added.
