Keeping Hope Alive in Times of Challenges

Challenges are part of our everyday lives. While some may be expected, we may not be prepared for some challenges that come our way. It is normal that we do not like to go through challenges. However, what do you do once we encounter them? Let’s take a look at some ways to handle challenges.

Keep hope alive:
As a Christian, one must always be hopeful regardless of the situation one finds oneself. When it seems like your challenge would weigh you down, remember God’s word concerning hope.

Hebrews 10: 23 says, “Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.”

God is faithful and is aware of the challenges we face. He would not let us suffer alone. Commit your plans before your creator and he would step in at the right time.

You are capable of handling it:
God knows the level of challenges that we can handle before he allows us to pass through them. We must not belittle our strength, neither should we allow life’s issues to crumble us.

1 Corinthians 10:13 says, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as  is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

Have a support system:
We cannot handle challenges alone. We need other people to support us. Get in touch with your support system when you are on the verge of a breakdown. Your support system can be your friends, family members, members of your church, or colleagues. Do not suffer in silence and ensure that you get the necessary help you need.

It may not be easy to keep hope alive when it seems like the world is on our shoulders. However, when we are persistent, we would surmount that challenge, regardless of how difficult it may seem. Mark 10:27 is one Bible verse we can rely on in times of challenges. It says, “Jesus looked at them and said, ‘For human beings it is impossible, but not for God. All things are possible.’”
