The President of Living Faith Church worldwide aka Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, and his wife, Faith, marked their 40th wedding anniversary on August 21, 2022. The couple has been consistent in their service to God and have grown over the years.
While marking the memorable day, Pastor Faith Oyedepo recalled their humble beginnings and how they could not afford to eat thrice daily. However, there has been a change in their lifestyle as God has been faithful to them.
Mrs Oyedepo said, “People who want ready-made lives end up in ready-made troubles. My husband and I had to start at the first rung of the ladder in marriage and ministry. Many times, we ate beans and garri for supper, so we would not need breakfast the next day.
“Some other times, we did not know where the next meal would come from. But God has always been very faithful. We are not at that point anymore.”
Meanwhile, the couple got remarks from the senior pastors of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr Paul and Becky Enenche.
Dr Paul Enenche said, “Happy 40th anniversary to generational road pointers; my spiritual parents. In your light, we see light. In your marriage, we see how a Godly and happy home should be.
"It has been a tremendous union and we thank God for such a gift He has blessed our world with. I celebrate with you both on this special day.”
On her part, Dr Becky Enenche thanked the Oyedepos for being an amazing example. She wrote, “Happy 40th glorious anniversary to my spiritual parents. It is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in our sight.
“I thank God for your union sir and ma. Thank you for the Godly and amazing example you both have set for us. This is just the beginning.”
