Donnie McClurkin, Franklin Graham, Others Seek Prayers for Ukraine

The war looming in Ukraine has called for world attention as Christian leaders have lent their voice to the trending news. While Russia has been urged to refrain from attacking Ukraine, the situation gets worse as the attacks increase with several deaths being recorded so far.

Award-winning gospel singer, Donnie McClurkin said, “Pray. Please pray for peace (137 Ukrainian soldiers killed, 316 injured). Pray for Ukrainian president, Volodymir Zelenskyy (Assassination planned and a set against him and his family).

"Pray for our countries (As this ramps up and bodes portents of WW3 and nuclear assaults). Pray for our president and world leaders (For wisdom, guidance, grace, strategies). This is dangerously serious and we, the believers, must pray. Join me, let's ask God’s help and intervention.”

Renowned preacher, Franklin Graham, said, “This morning we were awakened to the news that Russia has launched a military campaign against Ukraine. Pray for the people of Ukraine and for this conflict to end quickly. I have preached in both Kiev as well as Lviv, and large crowds came to hear the gospel.

“Samaritan’s Purse works with over 3,000 churches across Ukraine and we are in the process of distributing over 600,000 gift-filled Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes for children through those churches and ministry partners.

“At Samaritan’s Purse, we have many friends not only in Ukraine, but also I  Russia as well. There is so much fear and uncertainty. Many Ukrainians are fleeing their homes toward the west. These families need our prayers.”

Pastor Paula White-Cain posted, “Let us pray for the people of Ukraine as Russia has continued their invasion. I have preached and ministered in Kyiv and hold so many wonderful memories that God did during those times. I am holding up our brothers and sisters of faith for divine protection in the name of Jesus. Join me in prayer.”

U.S. president, Joe Biden said, “The world’s prayers are with the people of Ukraine tonight as they suffer an unprovoked and unjustified attack by the Russian military forces. The world will hold Russia accountable.”
