Muyiwa Olanrewaju Awarded the OBE for Services to Music

Muyiwa Olanrewaju has been vested with the OBE by Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. This honour was bestowed on the veteran broadcaster and gospel artiste…”For Services To Music. On his IG page @officialmuyiwa he stated, ”Thank you to everyone that has relentlessly invested in this “young man”, you made it possible. A lecturer of mine told me no one is paying attention to you doing gospel music…..years later, here we are.”

One of the remarkable things about this feat is that Muyiwa is the First UK Gospel artiste and first African Gospel artiste to receive the OBE. He gave total credit from how he achieved this with a quote from the book of Psalm 75:6-7. For exaltation comes not from east nor west…. But it is God…”  May HE lift you in HIS time,

The OBE title was established in 1917 by King George V and is bestowed for contributions to the Arts and Sciences, efforts with charitable organisations and public service outside the civil service.

In his first YouTube live video he gives thanks and some of the experiences that marked him on the journey in the music industry,
