Next year will be better, says Jonathan

President Jonathan, on Sunday, in Kaduna said he assures Nigerians next year will be better than this year. He made this statement shortly after he laid the foundation stone of Living Faith Foundation's

Bible College. He said despite the various challenges Nigeria faced in 2012, his government is determined to ensure that next year (2013) is better than 2012.

He urged Nigerians not to lose hope in the country's administration. He said: "Let me assure all of you and indeed all Nigerians that 2013 will be better for us than 2012 in all aspects of the nation's history. The New Year shall be better for us in terms of job creation, wealth creation and improved security among others".

"Sometimes, challenges make people doubt the sincerity of government, but I am confident that God knows everything."

The President said he is aware that due to the challenges, some people have lost faith in the government.

More so, he said just like the biblical Job who lost everything and faced many challenges but God did not abandon him. He believes God wants Nigerians to learn some lessons from the present and past challenges, adding that God means well for the country.

The President assured Nigerians there will be an improvement in the area of power supply and he intends to make sure Nigerians could live without buying power generating sets.

He said his administration intends to provide adequate power supply in order to boost small scale businesses.

"Small scale businesses such as barbing salons cannot continue to buy generators to operate and break even. My wish is for Nigerians not to have generating sets," he added.

The President also promised Nigerians, security operatives are determined to tackle the security challenges in the Northern part of the country.
