Reactions as Donald Trump promotes 'God Bless the USA' Bible

Former United States of America president Donald Trump caught the attention of many after he was seen promoting 'God Bless the USA' Bible that was created by a veteran American country music star Lee Greenwood.

The 81-year-old singer is famous for his song “God Bless the U.S.A” and according to the politician, the singer is his friend and he is partnering with him to promote the Bible.

Donald said in a video: “I am proud to be partnering with my friend Lee Greenwood. He sang ‘God Bless the USA’ and created the ‘God Bless the USA Bible’. It comprises of the KJV version and our founding fathers’ constitution. This Bible is very important to me and I want people to have it in their hearts and soul. Some of you don’t know your rights in this country and you have not read them.

“All Americans need a Bible in their home, and I have many. It’s my favorite book. It’s a lot of people’s favorite book. Religion and Christianity are the biggest things missing from this country, and I truly believe that we need to bring them back. It’s one of the biggest problems we have. That’s why our country’s going haywire — we’ve lost religion in our country.”

According to the Bible’s website, the book is worth $59.99 and it comes with other features including a copy of a “handwritten chorus” to the eponymous Greenwood.

Reacting to some mixed talks about Trump promoting the Bible, a popular American preacher Franklin Graham said:

“Many people are in a tizzy because former President Donald J. Trump endorsed and is selling a “God Bless The USA” Bible which was developed by Lee Greenwood. I just hope that all the people who buy it will read the Scriptures and study it, because God’s Word has power and can change lives. It does not return void.”

Graham also quoted Hebrews 4:12 saying: “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
