Pastor Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has been conferred with a honorary Doctor of Education by Benson Idahosa University, Edo State.
Mummy G.O, as she is fondly called, made this announcement on her social media pages on July 16, 2022. She wrote, “Today, I am indeed grateful to God Almighty for hitherto he has helped me knowing fully well that all of these achievements is by him alone. Him alone deserves all the praises.”
She also appreciated her husband for being her support system. She continued, “My darling husband, Pastor E.A Adeboye, who is my mentor and has always pushed me to be more. God bless you for the constant support.
“And to the Senate and Leadership of Benson Idahosa University, my father in heaven will honor you too in Jesus name, and this citadel of learning will continue to grow from glory to glory in Jesus name.”
On his part, Pastor Enoch Adeboye praised the effort of his wife in her desire for excellence. He wrote, “Pastor Folu Adeboye, a woman whose life epitomizes excellence through hardwork and has over the years, devoted her entire life to empowering humanity through provision of quality education and scholarships at different levels globally. The congratulations are in order my dear Folu, as Benson Idahosa University confers on you Doctor of Education.”
Some well meaning Nigerians have sent in their congratulations to Mrs Adeboye.
Business mogul, Folorunso Alakija wrote, “My dear Mummy G.O, I congratulate you on the conferment of honorary degree of Doctor of Education by Benson Idahosa University.
“This is an attestation to your outstanding exemplary achievements in the education sector and an additional feather in your cap. I celebrate you today and I pray that the good Lord will continually strengthen you in Jesus name. Amen.
Precious Odude wrote, “Congratulations Mummy. I am loving the look of joy, pride and great support on Daddy G.O. Such a beautiful sight to behold. God will continue to bless, strengthen and uphold you Daddy and Mummy.”
