Adeboye Conferred with Doctorate Degree at Oral Roberts University

The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has been conferred with a Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree by Oral Roberts University, United States. This announcement was made by the 80-year-old cleric and his wife, Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye, on their social media pages.

Adeboye posted, “I recall that day in 1979 when I accompanied my father, Pa Josiah Akindayomi to Tusla, Oklahoma, United States, to attend Kenneth Hagin’s Camp Meeting, and how the power of God moved mightily.

“If anyone had told me then that I would be awarded an honorary degree from one of the prestigious universities there, Oral Roberts University, I would have said that the person was joking. But looking back and seeing what God has done so far? I can’t but just say. Thank you, Jesus!

“Extending my sincere appreciation to the leadership of the university. God bless you all.”

Mrs Adeboye said, “Globally renowned Christian institution, Oral Roberts University, has conferred a Honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree on Pastor Enoch Adeboye for distinguished service and spiritual leadership in the nations.

“The citation to confer the award noted that with “thousands of spiritual sons and daughters all around the globe, Dr Adeboye has led the RCCG into expansive outreach in the nations of the world on a missionary movement built on prayer, fasting and bold witness, and Adeboye has written over 60 books.

“Let somebody shout hallelujah!”

The revered cleric has gotten several congratulatory messages. Babs Adetola said, “Congrats Papa. This confirms what the word of God says, ‘When a man is diligent in his calling, he will sit among kings and princes.’ May God continue to reward your labour here, and in the life thereafter.”

Ajewole Johnson commented, “I pray that years to come, I look at what you have done and I share such a tremendous experience as well. I tap into your anointing.”

Henry Kabwe wrote, “This humble man of God is a blessing. I wish money obsessed and proud prophets could imitate him and repent. May God continue to bless and lift him.”
