Today marks the 80th birthday of renowned cleric and General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye. The preacher, who joined the ministry in 1973, got several birthday wishes and accolades for his great works over the years.
In his birthday message, President Muhammadu Buhari spoke about his personal relationship with Adeboye and how he visited him (Buhari) when he was recuperating in London. He also appreciated “Adeboye’s warmth and friendliness” which he has personally enjoyed.
Buhari posted, “His contributions to the betterment of Nigeria and other countries stand out clearly as testimonies of his divine calling, impacting greatly on education, health and infrastructural development. It is my prayer that the Almighty God will continue to bless him with good health and strength, and many more years of impact.”
Nathaniel Bassey wrote, “’What we waited for, has come to pass. See what the Lord has done….’ Happy birthday Daddy! How can we thank God for such an impactful life? And many more years to come? Officially EAA Day today.”
Pastor Faith Oyedepo said, “ Daddy E.A Adeboye, I join the host of heaven and all your children around the world to celebrate God’s faithfulness and mercies upon your life. Thank you for all your love and support to myself and my family. It is my prayer that you will finish well and you will finish strong in Jesus name. Amen."
