COVID-19: Billy Graham’s Grandson Responds to Treatment

Jonathan Lotz, the grandson of late American televangelist, Billy Graham, is responding to treatment after he was hospitalized due to pneumonia and COVID-19. On July 24, he was admitted at the intensive care unit of a North Carolina hospital. After a week of showing signs of recovery, Lotz was discharged from the hospital on August 1.

Last Thursday, his mom Anne Graham Lotz, who is the daughter of Billy Graham made a post on her social media pages saying that her son has improved greatly at home.

“My handsome son, Jonathan, has been taken off supplemental oxygen. He has driven his dad’s truck for short distances, walked a couple of blocks with me, done the dishes after supper, and is even now getting a few things for me at the grocery store,” she posted.

However, she noted that her son was still not strong enough and was still “working hard at pulmonary rehab to regain his strength.” She appreciated everyone who prayed for him. Likewise, she thanked God for hearing all the prayer requests.

Thereafter, she quoted Psalm 28:7 which says, “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him...”

Jonathan Lotz is a preacher, just like his mother and grandparents. On August 1, his mom made the announcement of him being discharged from the hospital. He was later sent home to Raleigh, North Carolina, to continue treatment.

“PRAISE GOD!! Jonathan is home! Please, please continue to pray for his swift recovery and restoration to full health with no setbacks or complications. And that I can take good care of him. Blessing upon blessing to each of you who have helped carry him in prayer,” Anne Graham-Lotz said at that time.
