The nominations for the 36th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards have been listed. Some of the categories up for a win are Male Artist of the Year, Albertina Walker Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Duo/Chorus Group of the Year, Album of the Year, among others. The award is organized by Provident Entertainment.
Artists that made the nomination list include Cece Winans, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Marvin Sapp, Kierra Sheard, Travis Green, All Nations Music, amongst others. Other categories at the awards include Rap Hip Hop, Urban/Inspirational, Contemporary and Traditional Gospel.
Kierra Sheard topped the nominations list coming under eight categories such as Artist of the Year, Albertina Walker Female Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for the hit single “Something Has to Break (Live) ft. Tasha Cobbs Leonard,” Album of the Year, and four other categories. Her album, KIERRA was what she needed majorly to grab these nominations.
Also, Mali Music got multiple nominations for Song of the Year which he performed with Jonathan McReynolds. On the list of Traditional Female Artist of the Year is Le’Andria Johnson. In his statement on the nominations, the SVP and General Manager of RCA Inspiration/Provident Entertainment, Phil Thornton said;
“Congratulations to all of the artists for the amazing creativity and powerful inspiration that they share with the world in their music, to impact others and bring a message of hope, love, healing and strength that remains much needed in these difficult times. Thank you to the Stellars for the recognition and continuing to honor gospel music!”
The 36th Provident Entertainment’s Annual Stellar Awards will be held on July 10, 2021 in Nashville, TN. Below are some of the nominations for the award.
