Pastor Greg Laurie affirms that COVID Vaccine isn't the 'Mark of the Beast'

In his sermon on Sunday, April 18, California-based Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship addressed the assumptions that COVID-19 vaccination could be “the mark of the beast.” His message was centered on the book of Revelation and he stated that his congregants should not dwell on those assumptions while getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

The next day, he made a video on social media to buttress his point. He referenced Revelation 13:16-18, which reads;

Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name. This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.

In his affirmations, Laurie said when people are taking the mark of the beast, which is the 666, they will be aware of what they are taking. This is because an allegiance will be pledged to the antichrist. Meanwhile, without an antichrist, there can’t be a mark. And until Jesus comes to take His children home, the antichrist cannot appear.

Furthermore, he admitted that the technology for the mark is present and it will be common among people especially celebrities who would concur to it. However, the preacher cautioned that we are not yet in that time. Therefore, the people should not dwell so much on what is not revealed yet. Rather, more focus should be on Jesus and following his path.

He added that the mark of the beast is the future and it is visible. More so, it will be given as an indication of dedication to antichrist and a passport to commerce.
