JJ Hairston set to release 11th album on Jan 1, 2021

Gospel musician JJ Hairston is set to release his 11th album titled Not Holding Back on January 1, 2021. The 12-track album was announced by Entertainment One and JamesTown Music. The album is expected to inspire, bring hope, and heal everyone who was affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

This album comes after the successful release of "You Are Lord of All" which featured Pocket of Hope and Phillip Bryant. Presently, the song is on top 20 on the Billboard National Gospel Airplay Chart. JJ Hairston features artists such as Kierra Sheard, Travis Greene, Rich Tolbert, Jr. and Naomi Raine of Maverick City on this album.

‘Not Holding Back’ comprises of a list of 12 live tracks, each with its unique message. However, the messages are related in the sense that it is centered on affecting the audience of the gifted singer.  This album also promises to uplift the listeners to reassure them on the need for never holding back. 

In his words, "This project is one of the most important projects we've ever released. Not only because the music is relevant and heartfelt, but because we intentionally revived the musical style of our genesis, while embracing the musical style of our current culture. The marriage of both came together and formed a really powerful body of work."

Hairston's works has not gone unnoticed. So far, he is a recipient of a Billboard Music Award, 7 Stellar Gospel Music Awards, and an ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Award. Also, JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise were also nominated for a 2018 GRAMMY for Best Gospel Performance/Song.
