Covenant Christian Centre presents Conference for Pastors, Ministers, Leaders (#ICPMLW2017) - August 2017

Covenant Christian Centre is holding an international conference for pastors, leaders, ministers, workers from the 16th - 19th of August 2017.

The theme of the meeting is "raising the next generation of ministers of faith".

According to the senior pastor of the hist church, Pastor Poju Oyemade,

This meeting will be reformatory in nature. There is nothing wrong with using the term revival once it's definition is understood. A revival can be defined as the bringing back of something that was once in existence, the bringing back into the consciousness of people a truth they let slip. It simply means something has become important again or active within the people and on the strength of what people are experiencing through their interaction with it, it begins to spread.

A revival occurs in the church when a truth that was once on the front burner gets pushed out over time through engagement in dead activities where the people no longer heard that particular truth.

It is what the book of Hebrews speaks to when it says

Hebrews 2:1 "Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip."

We shouldn't engage in semantics and create division. A revival is a re-awakening to something that was once in existence in the Body.

A reformation is however different. A reformation can be defined as a re-alignment, a re ordering. It means a time when the imperfect way of doing things is suspended by a better order of things. Its root meaning is where we get the term orthopaedic from. Orthopaedic surgery deals with the fixing of broken bones, dealing with the skeletal structure in man. That which is hidden from the eye but holds in position and supports the outward appearance.

A reformation is to reset the things that are not apparent but are responsible for the things we see on the outside. The term reformation was used in the book of Hebrews,

Hebrews 9:10 "Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation."

After a reformatory work is done, everyone stands up straight and erect, no longer dependent on crutches to get about but now have the internal strength to get the job done. After this meeting, you will stand erect, have a dominant attitude and understand how to work the supernatural.

This meeting will bring about the mental adjustments, correction in our thought life that will lead to a great manifestation of the liberty you have in the spirit.

Ministers expected for the meeting include Bishop Keith Butler and Nathaniel Bassey. Host is Pastor Poju Oyemade.
