The new X-Men: Apocalypse trailer has some biblical undertones

The new X-Men: Apocalypse trailer has just been released.

The X-Men: Apocalypse is the sequel to 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past and the ninth instalment in the X-Men film series.

In X-Men: Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant, Apocalypse, awakened after thousands of years and disillusioned with the world he finds, recruits a team of powerful mutants to cleanse humanity and create a new world order.

While being an interesting movie, it makes reference to some topics or events in the Bible. It makes reference to the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe - Apocalypse. He is referred to as "Yahweh" as in one of the dialogues: "I have been called many things over many lifetimes..Ra, Krishna, Yahweh"

In another dialogue, there is a debate whether he brought about the idea of the four horsemen or "The Bible" copied it from him.

Watch the trailer below. What do you think?
