Police arrest suspects who robbed Brooklyn pastor

Pastor Lamor Whitehead

Two persons, who were suspects in the robbery of Brookyn pastor, Lamor Whitehead, have been arrested. This development was confirmed by the Police on Wednesday.

Whitehead is the Head Pastor of Leaders of Tomorrow International Ministries, Brookyn, United States.

The suspects, Juwan Anderson and Say-Quan Pollack, were arrested and charged with robbery in the first degree, with a 10-year minimum sentence sought by prosecutors.

The both of them were said to have stolen hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Jewelry from the preacher. They also held his daughter at gunpoint during a livestreamed worship service on July 24. The suspects are both 24 year old.

Meanwhile, the third suspect in the robbery case is said to be at large. There are speculations that he has been involved in several other crimes in the city before.

The Chief of Detectives of the New York Police Department, James Essig told local media outlet, Spectrum News, "There's a pattern throughout the city — throughout the last few years — of high-end jewelry robberies being targeted."

On his part, the Inspector Nicholas Fiore of the NYPD's Central Robbery Division said, “The robbery must have been pretty rough. It was a very, very violent robbery crew that we saw with no regard to anybody in the middle of mass, holding his child at gunpoint.”

It will be recalled that Whitehead is known for his flamboyant lifestyle. He drives expensive cars and is usually seen with expensive items. Following the incident a couple of months ago, Whitehead said that him and his church were hurt and his daughter is still traumatized.

He said, "Right now, she's still not even talking because of that experience. They had the gun in my 8-month-old's face. The women of my ministry, my wife, everybody is traumatized.

“I didn't know if they just wanted to shoot the church up or were just coming for a robbery. And they were all black men. They had masks, and they came in, and they took all of my wife's jewelry and all of my jewelry…"
